ISA server in a workgroup configuration (using LDAPS authentication), providing access to web sites that reside in a Windows 2003 AD domain, using forms based authentication. ISA version is RTM running on Windows 2003 SP2.

User is prompted to reset password due to upcoming expiry (15 day notification), or is forced change based on expired password. After typing password into password change form and clicking Change Password user receives the following error message no matter what password is used:

"The supplied password does not meet the minimum complexity requirements. Please try again".

User enters credentials again, then same error message, and then back to the password reset form. Passwords used do meet complexity requirements of domain. Checked logs, and when in this happens ISA does not access domain controllers (or the destination web site) when the user is caught in this form loop.

This problem is also intermittent. Did it to me, and then after resetting the password using Active Directory Users and Computers, tried again and then worked fine. Tried a few times and was not able to make it fail again. Difference was that ISA in this instance did attempt to hit the DCs for authentication.

Anyone seen this before? Updated to Windows SP2 on ISA a few months back, not sure is this is related or not.

Min password age was going to be my guess too.

If you can't figure it out and no one here has the right guess, you could open a support case with Microsoft. It may take a bit of time, but they'll eventually figure out what's going on.

Try updating ISA with the latest hotfix package - there have been some password change fixes since SP1.

There are many ways to reset lost Windows passwords, but I think the best and easiest way to reset Windows password is to use the Windows password recovery software. Here is the solution of how to change Windows password with Windows password recovery software.

Can't reset Windows password means that you can't follow computer program instructions to reset Windows password, it is too complex for you. Then you need to find a Windows password reset tool to help you reset password in easiest way. Windows Password Key, a popular tool for Windows password reset. You can get it on here to have a try.

You can learn how to reset Windows password by using Windows Password Key. It is a much easier tool for Windows lost or forgot password reset. Hope that simple tool is helpful to you. Good luck.
