I have this error on tmg 2010 RTM. Any idea?

Description:
The daily summary for day "01/30/2010" was not created. This may cause the report for this period to be inaccurate. Verify that no prior reporting configuration alerts exist, and that the reporting services on the designated Forefront TMG report server are running and accessible from all the array members. Use the source location 1001.105.7.0.7734.100 to report the failure.

The failure is due to error: 0x80040e57

Surprised there's no fix for this in SP1. Any news, anyone?

Hi everyone,

This is a known issue that occurs when you change the IP address of the system after installing TMG. The workaround is to run the fixsqlserverlogin.vbs script included in this article:

http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff717843.aspx

Thanks!

Hello Richard !.

Thanks for the information. But I have some concerns about this.

1) It is true that IP address was change and was necesary to refreshed in TMG console (System-Server properties).

Steps describred points to change to new password to access the reporting database, however this access is done using localsystem account and all loging tests passed without problem.
What account must be used in this case ?. Do we have to change the Report Server Credential in the Report Server Services Configuration Manager to another account first ??.

Thanks in advance.

Actually, I may have spoken too soon. It appears that this issue may not be related to the IP address change as I originally suggested. Microsoft support is still working to identify the root cause.

Changing the password via the script should be all that is required.

Hi Richard,

I've run the script and set a new password but now when I try to run 'DailySum.exe.' I get an access denied message on forefront.
Do I need to set this password somewhere else?

Thanks,
Jonathon

If your TMG firewall is a member of an array, you'll need to run the script on each array member. More information here...

Hi Richard,

Thanks for your help... It seems the 'access denied' error was down to me not running the exe as administrator.

Unfortunately I'm still getting the issue even after running the password change script. Do you know of any other possible fixes for this?

Many thanks,
Jon

I ran into the same problem and went through the steps on troubleshooting reporting. While the article has some "holes" in it (you'll see them when you get to it) I found that going through the steps fixed my problem.

Thanks for your help Tom,

I ran through the troubleshooting but am still getting this issue.
I believe it's down to the date formatting, my server is set to UK dates but the error has US date formats on it.

I also noticed that the problem did not occur on the 10/10/10 I'm guessing It will also not occur on 11\11\10.
Is there a way to tell SQL express or the reporting services (which ever it is) to use the correct date format?

Thanks again,
Jonathon

Hi,

I believe this is solved with SU1.

Download and install Software Update 1 for TMG SP1.

Software Update 1 for Microsoft Forefront Threat Management Gateway (TMG) 2010 Service Pack 1 now available for download

It's not fixed in SP1 Update 1 because I am getting the same errors on my newly installed SP1 Update 1 array.

I am going to try the script to see if that helps
