I would to send to my boss reports of internet usage through ISA 2006 like the example below: (or something like this)
www.orkut.com 10 hours  5MB
www.google.com 5 hours  2MB
We try many report tools for ISA 2006 (listed on isaserver.org). In the reports neither of them show the URL typed by the user, they only show the destination ip address.
If I use 'resolve ip to names' function, reverse lookups shows for 'www.orkut.com' the name 'bs-in-f85.1e100.net'. For my boss 'www.orkut.com' make sense, but 'bs-in-f85.1e100.net' or ip '' doesn't.
In ISA Server logs ISALOG_20100117_WEB_000.w3c user typed URL is stored in the field 'cs-referred', but report tools usually shows 'cs-uri' field on the reports. I don't know why.
----ISA Log entry
cs-referred = http://www.google.com/ig?refresh=1
r-host =
cs-uri ={modules:[{name:maps,version:2;other_params:%22client%3dgoogle-mapsearch-gadget%22},{name:elements;version:1,packages:
For example using Internet Access Monitor (IAM), report (by hours, by hosts and by requests) it shows the fields 'r-host' and 'cs-uri' concatenated in requests. This is the better form that I can present to my boss. Unfortunately this
is not good.
