First of all thanks a lot for such a great forum. this forum is a life saver for me. I have installed Isa server 2006, on windows server 2006 R2 Enterprise ed. Access rules r working fine, specified Automatic dial up entry, which works fine sometimes, in the night time around 10:00 pm my internet connect gets dc and i expect isa server to reconnect it but it doesnt. i have reinstalled server machine twice during sundays and searched alot on internet but couldnt find a solution. tried to dial it up through modem but my MDaemon email server doesnt work that way. Please guys help me i am dumb stuck here. Isa server or windows event viewer doesnt show a warning or error msg about it. Contacted my isp and they say its my internal problem, ad they seems to be right becoz i have dialed it up manually later and it went fine.

dc ? Its not supposed to happen.. unless its a DSL connection with a user name & password with a dynamic IP addressing which times out every 12 hrs or so

Hi,
if you get disconnected from a PPoE connection, you can only reconect from inside network. Suggest you create some sort of script or a ISA connection verifier to internet, so it can "query" internet from time to time.
Guys. i have contacted my Isp and they recommended reinstallation of Server machine or applying a 3rd party software to dial up the connection manually. I applied software and problem is solved. thank you both
