After adding a second physical drive D:\ i cannot create a cachedir on that drive.
Webproxy / Firewall Logging and ScanStorage also moved to that drive and are working ok.

Already added the Network Service account on the Root with the List folder and Read permissions. (Also C:\ & D:\)

But every time Network Service is removed from the Root and URLCACHE folder permissions after i apply the new setting for de caching drives. following error messages:

Cache Permissions Insufficient:
Forefront TMG failed to initialize the cache because the Network Services account does not have sufficient permissions for the root folder and the Urlcache folder on drive D:\. The Network Services account must have the List Folder and Read permissions for the root folder and the Read permission for the Urlcache folder to open the Urlcache folder on every cache drive. Verify that the Network Services account has at least the List Folder and Read permissions for the root folder and the Read permission for the Urlcache folder on drive D:\.

Cache Initialization Failure:
The cache was not properly initialized. caching will be disabled (internal code 503.284.7.0.9027.400). Identify the specific reason for the failure from previous relevant event logs. Fix the problem, and then restart the Firewall service to enable caching.
The failure is due to error: A cluster resource failed.

Are you changing the permissions on the drive/folder - or letting TMG do it when configuring the cache drive?

Thanks!
Tom

TMG does the permissions job on the drive but after applying the settings the TMG starts complaining about the permission setting after a short time (setting/applying delay i think).

It looks like TMG does not add all the needed services.

Adding the services manual results in a automatic remove after applying the permissions and restarting the TMG.
