Hi,

WPAD is not a requirement, but best practices.

About ISA slowness, could be many things, but first make sure your NICs are configured correctly.

Also, if you must configure your browsers manually, specify an automatic configuration script (http://fqdn:8080/array.dll?Get.Routing.Script) rather than a Proxy IP address. That way, you'll be able to control centrally (in ISA) which resources should bypass the proxy.

I read the article My interface settings are correct on ISA i have 3 NIC, DG on external interface only and DNS on internal interface only. I tried Automatic Configuration Script same delay.
I tried INTERNET BROWSING from ISA itself got same delay,
I have other weird problems.

1- right now there is no access rule localhost to external, however I can browse internet

2- access rule I have from internal to external is all outbound protocols, when I choose select protocols HTTP,HTTPS,DNS,SMTP,POP3, internet browsing not working at all

3-I have proxy client from external can please explain

network rules
Acees Rules
Firewall Client
Proxy cleint

Hi,

can not understand if you enabled WPAD, have you enabled it?

ISA has some pre-configured access rules. They´re called System Policies. There´s one System Policy which allows HTTP/HTTPS access.

2- access rule I have from internal to external is all outbound protocols, when I choose select protocols HTTP,HTTPS,DNS,SMTP,POP3, internet browsing not working at all

Some thing must be wrong with your client machines... Did not see an access rule allowing access to your DNS server to make DNS queries.

Can not understand this. Can you elaborate?

Paulo Oliveira.

I enabled WPAD from DNS and DHCP, automatically detect settings, use automatic configuration script on ISA server ,
I monitored both client and DNS server nothing wrong with DNS query, I stoped using ISA as proxy until find the reason
I have other issue I added my servers to ip exceptions in Configure Flood Mitigation Settings, however still getting alert
ISA Server disconnected a non-TCP connection from 192.168.0.2 because the connection limit for this IP address was exceeded. Larger custom connection limits should be configured for the IP addresses of chained proxy servers and back-to-back ISA Server computers with a NAT relationship.
192.168.0.2 my DC

Hi,

is your DNS server Windows 2008? If so, check this: http://blogs.technet.com/b/isablog/archive/2008/02/19/windows-server-2008-dns-block-feature.aspx
