i have an issue iam working isa server 2004sp3 Standard Edition

i need know how to allow a single user to a particular sites only and all other Traffic for that user is block and he is only visit site that i allow him/her

iam willing have an answer from the experts

Hi,

You need to create an Deny rule for all the website of that user.

Create Deny rule with the following condition.
Type:- Deny,Protocol:- Http & Https, Source:- User's Computer IP (Depends on you), Destination:- External . But Add the URL Set to be allowed on the exception tab; Users:- Add that user who would be blocked for everything with the condition of exception.

Thanks For reply sethi but my Q? is how to give a single user internet access only a single site. I know how to block a particular site to particular sites but iam giving only one site for that user that i want he is access kindly if u know then instruct me

Hi Talha,

I well understand your querry, I hope you have not gone through the details mentioned on the block rule. On that, You need to add that user to whom you want to deploy this rule & make sure the placement of rule should be above the Allow rule.
In nutshell, What will happen, if that user will browse anything will be get blocked except your mentioned website under exception list.

yes sir its clear me. but if i want to allow only one site of that user not to block them.


suppose

one user who has only one website daily visit (http://www.site.com) and i gave him only that site

This is my Q?

how can i Allow only one site

My Dear...Let me explain you. On the destination Tab you will block to External interface however there is a tab for Exception. You just click on Add> New> URL set & mention the website i.e www.myname.com.

Then everything will be blocked for that user except the mentioned URL which is on the exception list.

From the very first point i should have to clear you this concept. Any ways hope this shall work for you.

I hope you have not mentioned by the block rules in detail. On this point, you need to add the user you wish to deploy the rules and regulations to ensure that the position should be higher than the rules allowed...
