Hi, my user running behind ISA 2004 which is acting as a firewall server. Some user report to me that they download the file is very slow. My internet speed is 1Mb and it should not be slow.

Is it possible for me to check from ISA 2004 console why my internet is slow? (any other user download a large file or any other reason...)

Thank,
Kanel

Hi,

natively on ISA you can not see how users are consuming bandwidth. Only installing 3rd-party plugins.

But you can check if your bandwidth is at full usage while users are downloading stuff using Windows taks manager or some other monitoring tool like MRTG.

Paulo Oliveira.

Could you please let me know which 3rd party software that could check the bandwidth that consume by each user?

Windows task manager could check only the real time of activity. How could I check the consume bandwidth in the past?

Thank,
Kanel

1Mg is slow.
A 1Mg connection can be maxed out in a heartbeat.

With a 1Mg connection downloads will only be about 3/4ths or 2/3rds of that at best, with only one user on the LAN.  Add more users and it may go slower.

Hi,

you can use Bandwidth Splitter. I agree with Phillip, 1Mbps is a very slow internet connection.

Paulo Oliveira.
