We are currently using a clustered ISA 2006 Enterprise configuration, and most of our XP PC's have the ISA 2006 Firewall Client installed. I also have a Windows 7 workstation with the updated Forefront TMG 2010 Firewall Client installed, connected to the same ISA server(s).

I recently noticed an issue when trying to connect via RDP/Remote Desktop to an IP address that's outside our local subnet. I can connect with no problems from any XP machine running the 2006 Client, but the connection doesn't work on my Win7 machine with 2010 Client, unless I disable the Forefront TMG Client Agent service.

In the Firewall Client Settings on the ISA Server, I have set mstsc to Disable=1.

Does anyone have any ideas how to get around this, and configure the 2010 Firewall Client so I don't have to disable it every time? It's almost like the 2010 Client is ignoring the Disable=1 setting. Could this be an ISA 2006/2010 Client compatibility issue?

Thanks in advance!
