The easiest way to 'block' torrent ports is by simply not allowing them in the first place. With ISA, you have to create an access rule to allow any communication to take place. If you don't create this rule, it will be processed by the last default rule, which is to deny the request.

You can simply block torrents by blocking their signature.

Check this article : http://www.isaserver.org/articles/2004blockp2pim.html

The Above article contains a link to some of the applications signatures.

Tarek

Most Torrent clients can change their ports easily. you are not going to be able to really block ports to stop torrent traffic.

I'd guess that if you have users smart enough to use bittorrent they would know how to change the ports. heck some clients change it at random every time it launches.

I'd start with blocking all traffic, unblocking only what you NEED. (http, https, etc) -- Torrents can run through any port even 80.

then try to block the apps, using signatures.
