Hi,

You will need to do a few things:

A zone records created for both WWW and mycompany.com so they resolve for both internally and externally DNS queries.

Add the both FQDN zone records to the Public Name in the ISA publishing rule in question.

Add/modify the publishing rule path rules or configure published web server to support host headers. (non-ssl)

They are correct. No way to do it with ISA 2004. You will need to script it on the Web sever to do the redirect. If you google it I'm sure you'll find several threads and scripts that you can use. I redirect using my global.asa and test the new session's host header and redirect using an If....Then statement.

Hello,

You CAN do this under ISA2004.

Configuration --> Networks --> Web Chaining tab (right bottom pane)
Create a new Web Chaining rule; assign a URL set to the destination (i.e. http://test.com); NEXT; In Request processing, select "Redirect Requests to:" and enter in Hosted Site the re-direction "substitution": www.test.com (no HTTP!); Type the standard ports (80, 443) and voilą!

If you check logs, you will see that ISA will replace http://test.com by http://www.test.com. On the client side though, it is transparent: the browser still shows http://test.com.

Hope this helps.

X.
