gmerriman -> ISA Server 2004 and Microsoft Lync (3.Jun.2011 4:32:21 PM)

Hello all,

I have an XP userworking behind ISA 2004 who needs to conect with Microsoft Lync (formerly OCS) at another site. He is unable to connect and I suspect the problem is with ISA. I asked in the Technet forum and Microsoft replied that OCS is not supported in ISA 2004 and offered no suggestions.

I suspect I need a custom protocol or Web listener.

Can anyone here help?

It is supported. Please read the following link:

You have to open many ports in order for lync to be working with ISA 2004. Open anything higher than port 50000 and 65535.

There is also this link:
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/gg425882.aspx
That describes all the ports used by lync 2010.
