I've been playing around with UAG for a couple of weeks now and I have a pretty good understanding of how it works.

I've got it all working in a test environment with proper certificates and all that jazz.

I have been publishing remote desktop servers and this works well. User needs to enter in a username and password before connecting because SSO is not part of the allowed functionality.

What I don't understand is the difference between "HTTPS - HTTPS" and "HTTPS - HTTP" bridging. I am talking about on the UAG server in the RD Gateway Manager.

Everything works fine when I use HTTPS - HTTP bridging.

When I change to HTTPS - HTTPS bridging the end user can never establish an RDP session. It never asks them for the username and password and it just sits there trying to connect and never connects.

I cannot find a simple explanation on the web that explains the difference between the two and why I should use one method over the other. Clearly I need to use HTTPS - HTTP to get the functionality I want but I want to know why.

Cheers
