my clients can not login in yahoo messenger, i am using isa server 2006 enterprise, skype is working but yahoo messenger not, please help anyone.

Hi,

Try this:

Basic Connection:

* Protocol: TCP or HTTP
* Servers: scs.msg.yahoo.com, scsa.msg.yahoo.com, scsc.msg.yahoo.com
* Port: 20, 23, 25, 80, 119, 5050, 8001, 8002

Webcam Connection:

* Protocol: TCP
* Server: webcam.yahoo.com
* Port: 5100

File Transfer Connection:

* Protocol: HTTP
* Server: filetransfer.msg.yahoo.com
* Port: 80

File Sharing Connection:

* Protocol: HTTP
* Port: 80

Voice Chat Connection:

* Protocol: UDP or TCP
* Server: vc.yahoo.com
* Ports: 5000-5010

Hi,
you can see the logging of the isa and watch which protocol or action is denied

thanx for ur reply, i need to know "well i am new to isa server" how to create new protocols, i tried to create but i am not being able to insert web servers as you said, how to do that?

Hi,
add your server in the toolbox area as a computer (by name or ip), then check which port the software is used and allow your internal clients to the server on the port which is used by the software.
Isa has some common ports and protocols but if the port is uncommon then you should add that port to your isa port list.
