hello
i've an isa 2006 on my network, the problem is that user can't run their mails on outlook and i've an error response "the server name you entered cannot be found"
while i (as domain admin) work fine. what's the problem

note: the mail server is out side the network
i created an access rule in isa to allow pop3 and smtp

It's smelling of DNS problem :) What are your DNS settings and where is your DNS? Do you have rule "Admins have full access" - this describe your access? If your DNS is in your local network, create rule Internal to DNS, All auth. users, DNS protocol (port 53) and similar rule DNS to External network... I hope this resolve your problem!

the SDoMASTER's soultion is good but also check authentication over your rule.

that's a good sense of smell you have, thank you, but one more thing, this solved the problem on some of the computers while others are still giving the same error??

ain't the dns access is provided by the firewall client, i mean if there's a firewall client installed there's no need to allow access to DNS protocols in ISA policies, right?
