firewall or router

Hello All

I have been using TMG 2010 in my office so far. Now we are planning to install a router as well in out office my question is

What shall be the front device(where leased line terminate into) FIREWALL OR ROUTER. what does keeep in our mind when planning both the devies.

Why do you want to use two firewalls?!

Hello

Thanks for replying. We would like to connect our brach office with the main office. We have two diffrent application and they run on two diffrent ip address range. I think one one ip address range 192.168.0.0/24 for one application and another appliaction of 172.16.0.0./28 for another application.

One more question
If we confgure VPN it is safe to tranmit data over internet as it send data in tunnel
What is genrally done to make data secure when we transmit data through router.

You have to use VPN, no other options!!
