HI,
We've an Enterprise Array with 5 tmg 2010 nodes. Each server has 45GB of RAM but we've noticed that the firewall service allocates max 2GB of memory. We also manage other arrays with the same behaviour. We've been using TMG Enterprise Edition on Win2008 64bit. Is it possible, for the FW Service, to increase the reserved memory (like Cache memory allocation)? The strange thing is that TMG doesen't matter how many sessions are active, it starts to allocate RAM till 2GB than it stops.
One more thing: if I open the "system performance" on TMG MMC at the top of the chart of "available memory" it is shown 2000MB.
Thanks in advance.
Marco

Hi,

you can configure the percentage TMG uses for caching. This is by default set to 25% of "unused" memory.
The MMC Chart always shows the top at 2000MB, it is just to say you, when you getting low on memory.
And finally 45GB of RAM is plenty to much for TMG. More then 16GB does only make sense in very rare scenarios.
And when you say it doesn't matter how many session are active? How many sessions are your average and max out? Consider TMG can handle 1500WebProxy or FWClient-Sessions without hitting even a percent of cpu usage on modern hardware....
