I have two servers in an array. In my ISA 2004 deployment there is the concept of prmiary and backup CSS so that both servers can independantly keep copies of the configuration.

In TMG I cannot find the equivalent, and if I try to open the TMG console on one of these servers and connect it to the local computer, I get "server not operational".

Should I be able to see the configuration on both nodes??

What am I doing wrong?

Right click either node in your array, go to properties, and check the Configuration Storage tab.

On the CSS server itself, each node should have it's configuration saved as a unique file.

Now, if you want your array configurations backed up to a centralized location, you will have to script this.

There is an old export script floating around here "isaexport.wsf" I believe. Just set up a scheduled task on the TMG boxes and you can set it up to export the configurations of the TMG servers and place it on the CSS or any other storage location.
