janroc -> Move public ip number from the ISA (21.Aug.2012 3:48:07 AM)

Hi all,

My first post.

We have a ISA 2006 and use for public web application.
Now we want to reuse the public ip number for a other device.

Is it posible to disable the web rule and remove the ip number from the windows 2003 tcp, or do I need to remove the rule before I can remove it from the TCP stack?

Because you want to move that IP address off the box, all rules referencing that IP address are becoming useless by definition. Therefore I would remove them first including the weblistener bound to that IP address.

Thank you for the reply.
I want to have an a solution so I can easy restore back to ISA box.

Can I add an fake ip number like 127.0.0.2, change the weblistner to this fake number and remove the public number from tcp stack?

I wouldn't do it that way! [;)]

Why not export the rule and weblistener (right click the rule/object)?

want some friends I can go level with or take some ops. Hard to find people on during my play time because I'm in the USA. I am currently Protopharma but I can switch on my own to whichever faction. I prefer anti-city.
