I am going to install TMG 2010 on a Windows 2008 R2 server. I am planning to install it on a server with a single NIC. Where should this be placed? What IP address needs to be on the NIC, a public or private address? I am planning to use this to provide Reverse Proxy services to several internal servers with private IP addresses.

If you want to use TMG just as a Proxy server for servering your clients and internal servers with Internet and filtering, then its ok to use it with a single NIC.

If you want to benefit from TMG as a firewall and all other benefits. Then use it with atleast two network cards.
