I originally configured and installed the ISA 2000 Server running on Server 2000 nearly a decade ago. It has come time to replace it (and I have slept numerous nights since that time). It is used as a firewall only between two isolated networks. I have no quarrel with the ISA server it works well, however I am unable to duplicate this configuration using a Cisco ASA 5510 (let alone a 5505, 861, or 831). As a firewall only going between to disparate addresses does it use NAT? Or is it primarily a router?
