I have a couple of basic questions that I thought I'd run by you experts for some advice!
I have recently started a new job, and have inherited someone else's mess! To keep it short, all the servers are old, and the infrastructure is a nightmare. Unfortunately, I can only get a limited amount of cash to upgrade the system, so it is important I get some key issues solved.
I have been approved to get a new server, which I would like to install ISA for proxy, and firewall services. I also need it to provide the following services:
- Exchange server: Front-end configuration providing RPC proxy to the back-end exchange server. - Ftp server - WSUS server
I have a feeling that a single box won't be able to provide all of these services. I believe setting up a ftp server is quite straight forward, but I'm not sure if WSUS is compatible to run on an ISA server itself.
I would appreciate someone's opinion about what I have proposed, and whether or not it will work or is a suitable solution.
Regards,
Dean Hislop
