Hi there,

I have trouble configuring VPN in the ISA-console. When I finish the "Set up local ISA VPN-Server..." the assistant shows a message "The wizard cannot create the Virtual Private Network (VPN) connection. An action to allow dial-in permissions failed."

What's this? How can I solve this problem?

Olaf

Hi Olaf,

Is this a fresh installation of ISA Server and Win2k? Did you apply any security templates? Was RRAS already enabled on the machine?

Hi Tom

I think it is a fresh installation. I did some testing with the webproxy, but RRAS wasn't enabled.

I'm having the same issue. W2k advanced, domain controler, RRAS already installed. I have done a few other installations and they install without a hitch. I'm not sure what the problems is.

Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks,
dre

Hi acaicedo,

I've heard a few people mention this problem since this post was first made. Check the Active Directory and make sure the RRAS Server is included in the RAS servers node in the AD Users and Computers console.

HTH,
Tom
