If I am at microsoft.com (or any web page) and try to click on a link, I will get a Page Cannot Be Displayed. If I type in a URL or try to go to a different site, I receive the same error message. I have to close the browser down and open up a new one.

This only happens once a day but it is annoying. Does anyone know what is causing this?

Hi Jon,

Are you using WinXP? I've noticed that it has some very flakey behavior with the browser and you have to "repair" the connection. One of a long list of reasons not to use WinXP.

I don't have XP installed. I have Win2K SP2 with the current Windows critical updates. I thought it might be QoS but that didn't work.

Any other ideas?

Update:

Looks like it was my client machine was the problem. I noticed that the disk space was low. Since I wanted to re-do some configuration on my client machine, I decided to rebuild it. It's been a few days and so far my browser hasn't lost a connection.
