When we connect to microsoft.com/ie and choose to download the update for our browser we see the contents of the download file and do get the 'File Download' dialog. I can remove the machine from ISA, connect directly to the Internet via a public IP and can download successfully. Please advise.

I don't know. I have Firewall client install on all workstations. I thought if this was done that we were configured for "Web Proxy"? I have your book here. Point me to a section. --Thanks--

Not sure what is going on here, because it shouldn't be a problem. Is the computer configured as a Web Proxy client?

I have configured the browser to use proxy server and I have firewall client installed. I tried disabling the firewall and got the thing to work. Tried that on another workstation and still failed.
Try to download the ie update and the browser window fills with the contents of the file. I am never prompted to save or install the file.
