Hi, I have just deployed isa standard edition on my network. I have most of my computers running the firewall client.
For protocol rules, I have generical policy for the supernat machines, and I have 2 additional policies that have 2 levels of outbound access that are linked to specific user groups.
My problem is that I have user who when acting as a supernat cannot connect to AIM. And when he installs the firewall client, he not can not connect to AIM, but is unable to access our exchange server via outlook.
Oulook prompts him for username and password, even if he enters this information outlook still fails to connect to the server.
As a side note. I about 40+ other users using the firewall client and are running AOL AIM and exchange.
If 40 other people have this working, the key is to configure the non-working computer like the ones that are working
Check the TCP/IP settings on the computer and make sure they are correct. The user should not be asked for any extra authentication to access the internal server, because that server is on the LAT. Better check that the user didn't install any 'extra' software on his machine that is interfering with the Firewall client and other apps.
