I need help fast. No one can download anything from behind ISA server in Enterprise mode except domain admins. This includes PDF files that open in the browser. Also I was unable to send outgoing mail from my exchange 5.5 server without installing the firewall client. When you use the secure mail wizard, you don't get the outgoing SMTP option. Please help!

P.S. I got your book, and it is excellent!

Hi oleary,

Thanks for getting the book!

IIRC, there is not default Site and Content rule when you are using Enterprise array configuration, so you need to create that rule manually.

Check that out and we can take it from there.

HTH,
Tom

Well I have 2 rules one that grants access to all sites, and one that denies acces to sites that are part of a distribution set that contains denied domains (napster.com, etc) Everyone can browse the internet just fine, my main problem is that no one can download anything, except domain admins. Any clue as to something else that I might have missed?

Well, the problem is that you must be a local admin on the machine that you are browsing from in order to be able to download files. Sounds like something with the client. Any suggestions?

Thanks again.

Well guess what, the problem is the result of Internet Explorer 6, deployed using the IEAK. Luckilly it is only affecting a few systems. Thanks

Hi oleary,

Ha! I'm glad you figured it out, because I never would have thought of IEAK as being the culprit!

Good to hear you got it working!

Yeah, originally I thought it was affecting everyone, then i found out it was just the systems that we have rolled out IE6 on. Oh well I will have to redo the package and hopefully that will take care of them.
