I set up the SMTP filter with an attachment rule to delete messages with .exe files attached to them. It worked fine for a few hours then quit working. When I checked the filter settings it just shows the red circle with the white X in it. I'm assuming that this rule is corrupt. I can't edit or delete this rule. I have done everything I can think of short of reinstalling ISA...which is not an option.
I was also wondering if there is a way to have the filter only delete the attachment rather than the entire email? Occasionally someone will actually mean to send a .exe file and the recipient will need to know that they tried to send it even if it doesn't come through (sometimes clients don't know that we don't accept them). Do I need a third party application to accomplish this or is there a way to do it with the SMTP filter built into ISA?
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Pete

From what I understand, there is a delay because of some features included in the service pack that were causing some confusion. Looks like its going to be January.
