The reports generated by ISA have entries that are IP addresses and usernames. The IP addresses reported are the same IP addresses for the users that it report by name. The majority of the reports are IP addresses. How can I make it report strictly by username.

Also, is there any advantage to changing the log to ISA server file format.

Please respond if you have any insight. I have been spinning my wheels on this for some time and would like to resolve.

Hi Mike,

All authenticated connections will have the username. Anonymous connections will show the IP address only.

also, i am pretty sure all first request to isa are anonymous. isa rejects that anonymous request is you defined only user access to resources or have the "require authentication" box checked. either way you will still have anonymous entries or just IP addresses in your reports. it would be nice if the client forced authenticated request only if you chose.

Hi,
i have the same problem, but authentication is forced by ISA and all anonymous entries in logs are displayed with 407 result code. BUT I still have IPs in my report jobs...
