And for me, it's a secureNAT client (no Firewall or Proxy client installed). Also Primary DNS points to my internal DNS hosted on the SBS=(AD+DC+ISA+Exh+IIS) box and Secondary points to an external public DNS.

My SBS machine is a dual-533 + 512MB

Re IE6 sp1: "The IE6 SP1 which was released to Microsoft's download servers in early
August was build 6.0.2800.1082. The final build of IE6 SP1 is 6.0.2800.1106" - ntbugtraq list

Point to note is, for me, the pages will be literally blank, not displaying any error message, besides "Done" in the status bar. A Refresh or two will then display the page.

Pete.

Hey guys,

I sure wish I could reproduce this. I've set up serveral test beds today and I don't get any errors for any of them [Frown]

Doh,
I have the similar thing. Two or three refreshes and then it will work. Is there any way we can zip up our settings to you tom?

Sorry to drop in at the end here but I have been noticing this behavior on some of my slower machines. I upgraded the web browsers to IE 6 and 128 bit encryption. I also removed all unnecessary protocols from this network segment. That seemed to clean it up quite a bit. Now I only see this on a segment that connects to the net through a DSL connection using ppp03, and that's a whole 'nother problem!

Hi all,

A specific instance of this problem can be found accessing our College's homepage at:

http://www.parade.vic.edu.au

click on 'Online', and more often than not you will get errors requiring the Debug etc / the pics don't show up properly...

From within the network without using any proxy settings, the pages load fine.

I also found the same as Goosemoose, specifically that when I am loading OWA Email pages, that I get an error with the main body of the message. These are almost always in the form of 'Done - But with errors on page'. [Eek!]

Tom & all, - keep trying to replicate it, and if there's anything I can do to help - let me know.

Regards

Chris

Hi Chris,

Looks like there's a problem with the coding on that page.

HTH,
Tom

I also think it might have to do with coding. in particular with cold fusion pages, i've noticed that some of the pages actually stay in the cache, even though they shouldn't since they're dynamic. The result is a broken looking or blank page (however, you usually only saw this problem when the site actually went down, then it would somehow revert to a cached page). A friend of mine has a a CF site, and I had this problem happen all the time. I told him to specify an expiration date in the page header for sometime in the past, or fix any expirations that were incorrect. for his site that seemed to work.

I doubt that is the problem with the email services though. I know that mine generates a random string on the end to prevent any caching problems. [Frown]
