I have an ISA server setup in Cache mode that is working great in most respects, but I am experiencing a problem with an executive in my company that wants to use www.excite.com. There is an 'Explore Excite' section in the middle of the page and if he clicks on any of the links he gets a 'Page cannot be displayed' error with the following information in the 'Background' section at the bottom:
Background:
The gateway has lost the connection with the Web site you are trying to access.

I have checked into this and I get the same error, but If I hit refresh enough the page comes up fine. Anybody have an idea what might be causing this?

Thanks.

Hi Dana,

My Web proxy logs show no problems accessing those links. How is his browser set up to use the Web Proxy service?

Thanks!
Tom

The browser is set to the ISA server name on port 80 with some exclusions for a few internal sites.
We do not have the proxy client loaded, but that should not cause this issue.

Thanks for your response.
