deyster -> HTTP 502 Proxy Error - ICMP network is unreachable - 10051 error (8.Sep.2003 7:45:00 PM)

We have some sites that are redirected by the ISA server to go out across over our router to a different network and not to the internet. Ever since the blaster virus went through, ping was shutdown from our network to this other network where these sites are hosted. They are reached via IP address and not FQDN. Whenever a user tries to access one of these sites that uses only an IP address, I get this error:

HTTP 502 Proxy Error - Internet Control Message Protocol (ICMP) network is unreachable. For more information about this event, see ISA Server Help. (10051)
Internet Security and Acceleration Server

I haven't been able to find any microsoft articles or anything anywhere on the internet about this error.

Could it be the fact that PING is disabled and ISA uses PING to locate sites that use only an IP address? I am confused and would like to avoid calling Microsoft on this. TIA.

Dan
