Hi'a . . just as a note, my ISA server is set up oddly. OK . . . .

I have a URL of
HTTPS:\\myfloridamarketplace.com:9160\ariba

When I try to make a connection to this site through my ISA I don't get the page. It seems to connect to the site, but doesnt return the content.

In ISA I have packet-filtering disabled. In the the protocol rules, I have enabled HTTP and HTTPS. I've added additional protocol definitions (and rule) for TCP and UDP port 9160.
If I set my browser to bypass the proxy for this site, I can get there. No matter what I set the browser for in the Secure field, it doesnt make the full connection.

Help!

thanks

RESOLVED!

Thanks Jason, that worked perfectly.

Appearently when an ISA client requests a non-standard SSL (https) port connection, the ISA server intercepts the request but then transmits it to the site host over it's (only) default SSL port . . .443. The referred TechNote (Q283284) added additional ports to the list. This allows the ISA to forward the request on a port other then a "well-defined" port.

As a follow-up, its sure cludgy to have to make these adjustments to ISA via a registry hack. Does anyone know of an ISA gui approach to doing this . . ., ie associating "other" port to a defined process (HTTPS).

Thanks again Jason.
