This is the clients network layout.

laptop <-> wireless linksys <-> INTERNET <-> linksys <-> isa <-> XP

I can get access to the ISA server with tsclient, web client, and vpn. I can ping, resolve, and connect to the server. I still can't connect to the XP box and I can't ping it but it will resolve the name to an address.

The ip's are as follows for the SBS2k3 side:
linksys external static IP
linksys internal sub
isa external sub
isa internal sub

1. At no time was I able to connect to the companyweb or OWA from the internet; I was using the IP address of the Linksys as the target. Internal to the company both companyweb and OWA work fine.

2. At no time have I been able to connect from the laptop to the XP box. I have tried this with VPN, TSC, and RDC.

What am I missing?

Thanx, Dave.

Do you have the following packet filters open?

Terminal Services Client needs port 3389, both, open to work.
PPTP VPN needs PPTP Call and PPTP Receive open.
L2TP VPN needs UDP 500 both and 1701 both open.

If you have the feature pack installed you can rclick "Network configuration" and select the "Allow VPN Connections" wizard. It will make the VPN filters for you.

Also, depending how those linksys boxes are configured you may need to open ports on them too. On the WRT54G box you need to enable VPN passthrough in the linksys config for VPN to work.

Doing this should enable you to tsclient or vpn into the isa box.
