I have a Windows 2000 server, with ISA Server installed. However, it only has 1 network card which will be connected to the internet. Is ISA server able to work on this? The machine will be colocated somewhere, and ISA was our firewall of choice.
I've done all the configuration etc, however even if I set it to deny everything, I can still access the server, which has lead me to believe that its an issue with only using 1 network card.
ISA needs at least 2 NIC's, 1 for the external (Internet) connection, and 1 for the LAN. You then have to configure the LAT so ISA knows which NIC is local and which one is for the Internet.
Just found out the machine will have 2 NICs. If i configure one for the internet, and just give the other an IP address although it wont be used, ISA will be ok with this?
