Hi
I have a single DSL connection coming into my ISA box via ethernet.
My external IP is assigned to that ethernet card.
What I am concidering is to add a third NIC to the machine with a second external IP to try and increase our bandwidth.
Does anyone know how or if ISA will handle a second external connection.

Kind Regards Glen

Two external NICs using the same DSL connection? ISA can't handle mutliple ISPs, you will need a third party software like RainConnect. But in your case, the same ISP, and your purpose is to increase the bandwidth? I don't think so, mate.

This is much more at the connection point than the ISA Server point. It is perfectly possible to channel bond two or more ADSL lines depending on whether the ISP will support it or not.
We use a Cisco 1720 with 2 ADSL cards channnel bonded to achieve 512K out and 1MB in. You can normally bond up to 4 ADSL lines, giving a max of 8MB in and 2MB out, although you would need a bigger router as you would need 4 ADSL cards.

Hi Steven
I actually have been given the information on the Cisco 1720 and told that I would need 2 WIC's.
I am guessing that is what you have done.
The chanel bonding you are refering to; does anything need to be done at the ISP end or does the router handle this all at our end.
I have been told that to multiply bandwidth it needs to be multilinked at the ISP end then we use that router and all should work fine.
