AdamB2K4 -> Multiple ISP Load Balancing & Failover (16.Jun.2004 9:09:00 PM)

My company has DSL with ISA server 2000 between the LAN and the internet. Would it be possible to tri-home the ISA server and add a cable modem connection to use in a load balancing and failover configuration?

Hi,

Not possible with ISA 2000/2004/2006.

only available with TMG , ISA Server future version , which is currently available in BETA 3 , read more here : http://blogs.technet.com/isablog/archive/2009/02/16/keeping-high-availability-with-forefront-tmg-s-isp-redundancy-feature.aspx

As for ISA 200x, you can install a router in front of your ISA Server, that would support multiple Gateways ( ISPs ). In this way, the router would be responsible for load balanacing and failover.
