try to specify the proxy by the internal IP adress of the server
if this works then you have a wrong DNS configuration

first of all
is proxy1.emirates.net.ae the name of your isa server
and have you put a check on the internet browser to bypass proxy for local adresses

my server is connected with another DNS server
and proxy1.emirates.net.ae is the name of that server... from where i m getting internet...

my server is like a bridge between that DNS server and my client computers....

i have installed isa2k on my server and shared internet from my server to clients

so on client side there is same proxy i-e (proxy1.emirates.net.ae port:8080)
and i want to give the proxy to clients like:
(web proxy: myserver port:8080)

how is it possible?
i think u got my idea... if not then plz tell me?

I think I can solve your problem but I need to know that how are you connected to the other server i.e the proxy1 server through your local ISA Server is it through dial-up or VPN etc...

Salam Alaekum Zia,

In Network Configuration / Routing / Default rule prperties / in Action Tabe, Select
"Route them to a specific upstream server" & in settings tab, type your proxy address proxy1.emirates.net.ae port:8080

This way you dont have to mention proxy address in clients i.e proxy1.emirates.net.ae port:8080, client only need to set there proxy address to servername:8080 , and then all clients requests will be recieved by server, and server will forward all request to your upstream proxy which is proxy1.emirates.net.ae port:8080
