Suddenly Outbound SMTP is not working through my ISA 2000 Server. My ISA clients behind ISA 2000 were connecting to external Email Server through Outlook Express and MS Outlook(POP3 and SMTP) and everything was working untill yesterday when suddenly it sopped working. I even tried using Outlook express straight from the ISA server itself but no luck-- Getting the same error on OE "Your server has unexpectedly terminated the connection. Possible causes for this include server problems, network problems, or a long period of inactivity. Account: '202.154.160.26', Server: '202.154.160.26', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Error Number: 0x800CCC0F.". 202.154.160.26 is our external mail server IP. Telnet 202.154.160.26 25 is also failing from ISA Server as well as Clients. All traffic was opened for Outbound connections and I have not made any changes for this problem to araise and also default SMTP filter under Extension --> Applications is diabled. Is some virus blocking the STMP port? Please let me know how to proceed.
