I have tried to use the article as a reference, since I have had no luck getting this to work on my own. Reading the article, I see that things are as simple and straight forward as I thought, however I keep getting the traffic/connection denied by the default rule, no matter what I do. The difference between my setup and the one in the article is that I have a perimiter network, and the RDP server I want to publish is on that network. So I have: The internet Perimiter network 10.0.0.0 Internal network 192.0.0.0 I have changed the listening port of the RDP server to 3xxxx I use the server publishing wizard to publish the internal RDP server on the perimiter network on one reserved IP of the external interface, with a custom RDP incomming definition of the correct port. I have checked and rechecked everything and tried a number of rule settings, but I keep getting the same error, and I don't understand it. I have published a web server on the same sever without incident, so I'm really confused as to why it's not working. Hope someone can help me figure this out, I'm all out of ideas. ERROR Denied Connection XXXXXXX 13-02-2008 17:47:45 Log type: Firewall service Status: The policy rules do not allow the user request. Rule: Default rule Source: External ( Coresponds to the connecting IP:1573) Destination: Local Host ( Corresponds correctly to the IP that I'm listening on:33000) Protocol: WWWRDP OUT User: Additional information Number of bytes sent: 0 Number of bytes received: 0 Processing time: 0ms Original Client IP: The correct remote IP Client agent: Thanks, Michael
