I've set it up like this:

External Path Internal Path
<same as internal> /exchange/*
<same as internal> /exchweb/*
<same as internal> /public/*
/ /Exchange

(without backslash)

and seems to work..

Curious results for me:

<same as internal> /exchange/*
<same as internal> /exchweb/*
<same as internal> /public/*

When I use: / /exchange\ I get an authentication prompt instead of the logon page (I am using FBA)when I try https://mail.mydomain.com. Everything works properly using https://mail.mydomain.com/exchange

When I use / /exchange and goto https://mail.mydomain.com I get the authentication page just fine, but logging in doesnt work. The browser progress bar increments slowly, I lost patience after waiting 5 minutes for something to happen. The same thing happens when I try https://mail.mydomain.com/exchange

I get the same exact results as stty0.

When I use: / /exchange\ I get an auth prompt, I am also using FBA.

When I use / /exchange I get the auth page just fine, but I can't log in.

love to get his working.

All I think I am attempting the same I just want to use the ISA to redirect email.host.com to email.host.com/exchange. This (email.host.com/exchange) resides on an Internal front end exchange box and the ISA 2004 box sits in the DMZ all fireall entries are solid. Any step by Step help to set up the proper rule would be greatly appreciated.

note, i did something a little different. its not the BEST way to do things, but it works for me.

i have two entries for OWA on the outside dns. one being webmail the other being owa.

when a user requests webmail.company.com (port 80) ..i have the internal webserver redirect the user to owa.company.com/exchange

basically you have two websites internal and two rules.

one site is the redirect with a easy name like webmail..the rule being port 80 only normal webserver publishing
the other site is the actual owa site with the typical owa rules on ISA.

again, this is not the best way of doing things, but i just used IIS to redirect instead of ISA.

only thing is..you cant have the same header translation/ip on the exchange server (IIS) ...it will puke and shut down the website.

Thanks - I guess the redirect was not as smooth as indicated. Do you only have one NIC. My understanding for the role of the ISA in this siituation it will work? Thanks Again
