Hi Allesandro,

I updated a production Exchange 2003 Server yesterday to SP1 (didn't want to do it yet, but customer did) and the machine is behind an ISA 2004 firewall RC. No problems with OWA FBA being generated by the ISA firewall.

Still trying to figure out what the problem is with other people and SP1 [Eek!]

HTH,
Tom

Thanks, SEOlsen and Alessandro.

Just wondering what are the security implications for using Basic authentication within ISA's OWA listener vs. letting Exchange itself do the Forms based authentication?

Ultimately, I would still like to know about a fix for this problem.

Thanks,
Monique

Hi
Same problem here.

Firewall machine: ISA 2004 Beta 2 (English version) on a Windows Server 2003 (French version), three-leg configuration.

Exhange machine: EXCHANGE 2003 SP1 (French Version) on a Windows Server 2003 (French version).

Maybe i am saying something stupid but could it be a problem with non-english version of Exchange 2003 only ? (it used to work well prior to SP1)

Bye
Guillaume

Hi Guillaume,

Its possible that is language version dependent. Or, it could be that there's something with beta2 that was fixed in later builds.

HTH,
Tom

Hi all,

In fact that's not a language issue...

Configuration with ISA Server 2004 Beta 2 + Exchange 2003 SP1 + Form-based for OWA Publishing Rule: problem

Same config with ISA Server 2004 RC: it works !

Bye

Hi Guillaume,

Ha! That's great! So its a beta 2 problem. That's why I couldn't replicate it, because I've been using later builds of the product for quite a while now.

Thanks!

Tom

Tom, this is good news, could you let us know if the RC version can be made available for download? Could you ask your MS contacs in the ISA dev team? Many of us have put ISA 2004 in production and are using beta 2 and not all of us have had the fortune to attend TechEd, it's a pity, let us know. [Smile]

Thanks.

I have the sampe problem WITH the final (RTM) version!
It can't be a beta 2 problem...

Does someone have the problem with the RTM too?
