Hi all,

When you log in on https://my url:/exchange with the OWA form base authentication the following happens.

When i select in the OWA web listner like integrated authentication it does work.
Does anyone know how to solve this?

My network situation.

Internet
|
|
Windows2003 with ISA 2004 and is not a member of the domain. ip= 192.168.100.1
|
|
Windows2003 with DNS / Exchange / webserver and is the DC for the internal domain. ip= 192.168.100.5

Hi Starchase,

It looks like you have FBA enabled on the firewall and on the Exchange Site. Disable it on the Exchange site.

Hi Tom,

Thanxz for the tip, but i cant find the option in my IIS on the exchange server where FBA is enebled. On the Directory Security Tab under the option "Authentication and access control" i have the options "Integrated windows authentication" and "basic authentication" enabled. Can you tell me where the option for form based authentication is on my exchange machine?

Hi Star,

Its in the Properites of the HTTP protocol on the Exchange Server, not configured in IIS.

I have found it, but it wasnt enabled.
The strange thing is that with integrated authentication in the web listner it does work.
It must have something 2 do with the form based authentication prefrences on the ISA box i think.
I even have mij URL pointed 2 the internal ip of the exchange server in de HOST file.
I really dont know whats wrong, and ive tested on multipal clients @ my work with diffrent connections.

I had the same issue when I was running ISA server 2004 beta2 and upgraded to Exchange 2003 SP1. Are you running the beta2?

Yes im running Beta 2 of ISA server 2004 in combination with exchange 2003 with also SP1.

I just have installed the official release of ISA server and im going to try it out later this day if it works.

I will let you all know as soon ive tested it with the official release.

Hi all, ive installed the final release of ISA 2004 and now the form based authentication works fine. Think it was another little bug in the BETA software.

Ha! You are correct. There was a bug in the pre-release software that was fixed.
