Having problems using exchange activesync through ISA server, when I try to sync from work I get an INTERNET_7 error message on my pda however from home it all works fine.

Our work network is split into two, the admin system which is where the exchange 2003 server is, sits behind an isa 2004 server which is then joined to our academic network, when I am at work my pda is wirelessly connected to the academic network and has a public IP address. From home I use an NTL broadband connection.

Hi Nick,

Sounds like you need to implement a split DNS.

HTH,
Tom

we are already running a split DNS in the fact that all our admin machines are all on Private IP address's and have there own DNS server, domain controller etc. the isa server has 2 nic's one of which has the admin network and the other has a public IP address on our academic domain to give direct internet access to the University network. Our Academic domain also has its own dns servers and domain controllers etc.

Unless my understanding of split dns is wrong.

I've followed ther article (and your book, TS ;-D), but I receive a "The page cannot be displayed" error with an "Error Code" "500 Internal Server Error".

Using ISA 2004 Monitoring I see the the connection attempt and the Rule that it is trying to utilise is correct but the Action is "Failed Connection Attempt".

The site is up and running as I can access it successfully from inside the network. Any ideas?

I am having the same issue of error HTTP_500 on a customer of mine.

Funny part is that connecting to OMA works perfectly. Only when I try Activesync I receive the error on the Activesync message at the device.

I am quite out of ideas already. Would be happy to receive any help.
