I am using dns and dhcp to publish proxy addresses. It works good on Windows, but not on my Mac OS X users.

I also have authentication turned on. In OS X, if i manually enter the IP and port of the web proxy in Network Settings then IEforMac prompts for the creditials fine. Since our staff with mac take their laptops home, this is cumbersome. I would prefer autodiscovery to work.

Another problem I have with the pop up login for credintals in IEforMac is that on domain you MUST enter the domainname.com, domainname without the .com will not work. It accepts the creditials but ISA blocks the page. I assume the domainname is okay with AD, but somewhere ISA needs the .com.

Any ideas? Thanks!

one more thing....

with the WinXP users, the integrated authentication from AD works for some and not for others. For those that it does not work for it also pops a screen for logon credentials. Here you can only "username@domain.com" format for username. "domain\username" or "username" alone does not work. Same thing I guess is causing this as the mac computers needing .com ending?? Why is an AD user with WinXP even getting the prompt while others are not?
