I'm having a weird problem with FTP, I'm sure it's just something that I have missed. Up until about 2 weeks ago I have a user that uploads data to an external FTP site and everything worked fine. He could both upload and download, then all the sudden he couldn't upload anymore. As far as I know nothing had changed on the ISA server. He could go home and upload to the FTP but couldn't behind the ISA. I have tried multiple FTP clients and still the same result, when we try we get "access denied". When I run a sniffer from the client trying to do the upload, the client never tries to establish connection to port 20 on the far end, nor do any errors get logged into the ISA server. But if I run the sniffer from a client at home, it does everything its suppose to. I don't have any rules setup outbound, everything is wide open. I shouldn't have to setup an inbound rule for FTP Upload should I?
... Right click the rule and select Configure FTP.
Exactly! I`ve got the same problem untill i accidentally found that in the rule by default "restrict upload" are checked. It very strange because i know for sure my users were uploading files without problems first couple of days after ISA2004 installation. Maybe some changes trigger that option on.
