Hi, guys.....
I'm running isa 2k4 on clean 2003 Ent Server. I recently uninstalled 2k4 to put back ISA 2k but to check out a config. Now i have unistalled ISA 2k and put back on ISA 2k4.
The problem is now MSN messenger signs in then disconnects between 1 to 2 mins after signing in.
The active log shows connection closed.
Any suggestions?

Network Config:
SecurNat Client | -----> [ISA] -----> [Sygate ]
FireWall Client | -----> [ISA] -----> [Sygate ]

Hi Pentium,

Are the three DSL connections connected to the Sygate machine?

Thanks!
Tom

Yep, all three are teamed at the machine. everything else works fine... infact internet access is very fast.
We found that this method was cheaper than the rainconnect method.

Funny though... I found that the problem is the same as in ISA 2K... I had to create a new Protocol description.

Name: MSN MSGR REAL
Primary ----> TCP OUTBOUND 1863
Secondary ----> TCP OUTBOUND 6891 -- 6900
Secondary ----> TCP INBOUND 6891 -- 6900
Secondary ----> TCP INBOUND 6901 -- 6901

(Not sure if it is absouletly neccessary)
Secondary ----> UDP 5004 -- 65535

You'd think they'd make it work for their own messenger [Big Grin]

Arite i can safetly say its fixed.... Problem was at the Sygate server... Apparenlty it had something to do with persistent connections. I added an access rule and now everything is Good....

Smooth Sailing on 3 DSL connections...

Hi Penitum,

Great! I'm going to need to try that Sygate method.

Thanks!
