Hi Racy,

Instead of blocking it, how about just not allowing it?

Thanks!
Tom

Tom,

Thank you for your reply.

Unhappily, My users use MSN Messenger for chat with their suppliers, customers, etc.

Then, they must use MSN Messenger, but I would like to block just the "file transfer" between MSNS.

I can block just if they send a http link in MSN with .exe .com .pif extensions.

But if they send a file, then I am not able to block them.

Is it possible ?

Thanks

Racy

I have exactly the same situation. They require MSN access but I want to disable the file transfer.

So far Ive done the same. Blocked the ports, and the content types but still the file was accepted.

I did a packet capture and Ive blocked all the content types. So i have no idea.

Any ideas/updates?

here you fo. try using maximum tcp connections per client over msn protocol.
