HI

We would like to move from from Firewall 1 to ISA server in our university. We used Firewall 1 because we have to protect the administration department and teachers not only from outside but from students too. That's why we have 3 internal subnets.
I am looking for a FE/BE ISA solution, and now I have heard about the multi networking function in ISA Server 2004.
Could you explain a little bit more about this function, can it be a solution for our problem?

Hope to see more information about FE/BE in ISA 2004 and I am really waiting for your new books Tom.

Thanks

Chris

Hi Chris,

Thanks! We'll have a book out this summer [Big Grin]

The multinetworking feature allows you to apply firewall policy on all interfaces, and control access between any two networks. So, you can have many internal network and control the traffic that moves between the internal networks and between the internal networks and the Internet. It's very easy to do!

If you can give me some basic spec's on the type of traffic you would like to allow or not allow between networks, I can do an article that shows how to implement the scenario.

Thanks!
Tom
