Xignals -> Outlook and default gateway (30.Jun.2005 5:12:00 PM)

I am switching over from ISA2000 to 2004 and have noticed that I have to enter the default gateway in order for Outlook to send/receive mail on my Firewall/Proxy clients. Have I set things up wrong or is this just the way it is supposed to be? Thanks.

What DG where? On the clients? On the ISA server? Internal or external NIC?

Default gateway on the clients. I do not have DG on the internal nic on ISA, only on the external nic.

Are the clients firewall clients? If so, is outlook excluded in the firewall client configuration?

Yes, all clients are firewall/proxy. I will go check the firewall config. Thanks for the help.

Outlook was enabled but, after reading the book, I checked the firewall client properties under the internal network and entered the FQDN name of my server and that fixed it.

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.
